Skilled Worker

Overview:

For individuals who have a guaranteed offer of employment from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer, or are already working in the province on a valid Work Permit.

Eligibility Requirement:

  • A two-year full-time job offer, and meet the provincial employment standards and prevailing wage rates.
  • If job required qualifications, need to obtain a valid work permit with at least 4 months remaining
  • The intention and ability to settle
  • Sufficient settlement funds
  • CLB 4

 

 

Express Entry Skilled Worker

Overview:

A path to permanent residence for those intending to reside permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador and meet the federal EE criterion.

Eligibility Requirements:

67 points on the PNP point assessment grid

  • Work Permit with at least 4 months remaining
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma
  • Demonstrate the intention and ability to settle permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador;
  • Sufficient settlement funds or financial resources

International Graduate Category:

Overview:

Designed for recent graduates who have a Post-Graduate Work Permit and a job or job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Completed at least half of your studies in Canada.
  • Graduated from an eligible publicly funded Canadian college or university

Completed a minimum of a two-year full-time diploma or degree program. OR One-year post-graduate programs.

  • A two-year(at least) full-time job or job offer (not necessary related to you study).
  • Qualifications, training, skills, and/or accreditation required for the job;
  • Have an Post-Graduate Work Permit, and must have duration of six months remaining prior to expiry date.
  • The intention and ability to settle permanently in Newfoundland and Labrador;
  • Sufficient settlement funds
  • CLB 4
  • If you completed your studies at a recognized post-secondary institute outside of Newfoundland and Labrador, your job or job offer must be related to your field of study. And work at least 1 year .
