Overview
To invest and get PR status in Saskatchewan.
Criterion
Business Requirement:
For New Business:
- Meet the requirements under the Canada-Saskatchewan Immigration Agreement, 2005;
- Create economic benefit for Saskatchewan
- Be the continued operation of an existing business or the establishment of a new business meeting economic needs in Saskatchewan
- Can be sole proprietorships, partnerships, or corporations
- For-profit entities with the primary purpose of earning profits through the sale of goods and/or services;
- permanent establishment
For Purchasing an Existing Business or Business Succession:
(There are additional points available if you’re buying an existing business; however:)
- Continuous operation by the same owner for the past three years;
- An exploratory visit
- A fair market value for the business;
- Complete change in ownership
- Maintaining employment for existing Canadian citizens or permanent residents
- Keeping the existing wages and employment terms.
Applicants’ Requirements:
- Meet the minimum entry criteria
- Complete the Points Assessment Grid
- $500,000 (CAD) at minimum in Net Business and Personal Assets
- A minimum of three years of relevant business management
- Invest a minimum of $300,000 (CAD) in Regina and Saskatoon or a minimum of $200,000 (CAD) in communities
- If invited, a Business Establishment Plan must be submitted
